Anne-Marie Duff was born in London in England. She is an English actress. After graduating at the Drama Centre London Duff made TV appearances on Trial & Retribution Amongst Women and Aristocrats during the latter half of the 1990s. Duff appeared her role in Enigma (2001), The Magdalene Sisters The Magdalene Sisters Scandal (2007) French Film (2008) The Last Station, Nowhere Boy Before Go To Sleep (2014) as well as Suffragette (2005). The roles she played on the screen in Shameless and The Virgin Queen Nowhere Boy and Suffragette have earned the actress BAFTA nominations for both the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress categories. In addition, she was awarded the BAFTA Cymru Award for Best Actress for her performance in the television movie The History of Mr Polly.
