Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on 1 October 1995 at Berkeley, California, USA. She is a well-known actress for Choices (2010). The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2007) and Chrissie's Content House

Asia Argento, born in Rome to a family that includes directors and actors, pursued both professions. She made her debut at the age of nine years old, in Sergio Citti's Sogni e bisogni (1985). She played the leading role in Cristina Comencini's Zoo (1988) and also appeared in Michele Soavi's 1989 movie The Church. In 1989 she portrayed Nanni Moretti's daughter for the film Red Wood Pigeon. (Also directed by Moretti). Close Friends (1992) by Michele Placido (both writer and director) is where Asia truly began to take off. It allowed her to progress from roles that were primarily young girls into more complex, mature characters. The movie was well-received at the Cannes International Film Festival. The Phantom of The Opera is her third film together with her dad. Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome were her previous two. The Phantom of the Opera is the third film she has acted in with her Father, the first two films being Trauma & The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's absorbed and intense approach to acting has also been used in the film by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a Nozze. Patrice Chereau was her director in Queen Margot in which she was a major character. The collaboration she had together with Michel Piccoli, in Peter Del Monte's Traveling Companion won her yet another award, this time the David di Donatello and Grolla of Oro. Asia began directing short films around 1994. Two of them were made: Prospettive, 1996, she directed a document about her father; and Abel/Asia in 1998, about the famous film director Abel Ferrara. This latter was awarded by the Rome Film Festival. In 1999, Asia was the first to direct a feature film with Scarlet Diva (2000), where she played the leading actress and author of the screenplay. It came out on the 20th of May the 20th of May, 2000 in Italy as well as the rest of world. It received a prestigious prize by the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn. Anna Lou was her first born daughter in 2001. After directing several music videos, she welcomed Anna Lou. She appeared in 2002 involved in The Red Siren directed by Olivier Megaton and starred alongside Jean-Marc Barr. Rob Cohen also directed the action thriller with Vin Diesel. Asia's short stories have also appeared in high-profile publications.
